Today's nail of the day is OPI's
Designer...De Better! from the Muppets Collection.

It is a taupey-silver metallic foil
with orange microshimmer. At first, I was skeptical about the mixture
of silver and orange. However, the orange shimmer is so small that it
blends right in and creates a gorgeous effect, which makes the polish
appear different colors in different lighting. The inclusion of
orange also makes this polish different from anything I have ever
seen. There are plenty of silver metallic foils on the market, but
I'm not aware of any others that contain orange. Plus orange is a
major color trend right now so it is a perfect nail polish for this
season! The second picture provides a good look at the orange
microshimmer, but the first picture above more accurately shows the
overall appearance of the polish.
I absolutely love how shiny it is,
especially in the sunlight. This is the main reason why I really like wearing it in the summer. The third picture was taken in direct sunlight to
show this, but the effect is much more stunning in person.
The formula is also wonderful. I think
you could get away with one thick coat, but I added a second to
ensure that every nail was completely opaque. This polish has great
staying power, but is slightly harder to remove than cremes. However,
I'm willing to put extra time into removing it, if it's going to last
twice as long on my nails.
The Muppets Collection was a limited
edition collection from last winter. If you missed it in stores and
are still interested in purchasing Designer...De Better!, past OPI
collections are generally easy to find from online retailers.

polishes? Do you like the extra shine and shimmer, or would you
rather stick with a creme finish?
